Recalibration Training

This training is designed for independently licensed mental health providers, or advanced graduate students, who have already completed the 40-hour PCIT Therapist Certification Training. Recalibration training is helpful for therapists seeking to prepare for PCIT International Certification, certified PCIT therapists who wish to update skills or those wanting to elevate skills in preparing to become a within agency trainer. Participating therapists will refresh and/or advance their PCIT skills in coding and coaching via DPICS coding and review and practice of CDI and PDI coaching skills.

Training includes

  • 11 hours (across 2 days) of small-group format training with expert PCIT trainers

    • Review of both phases of PCIT​

    • Didactic presentations to review the theory and techniques of PCIT

    • Hands-on learning strategies (e.g., modeling, role-play) of key skills

  • 11 hours of CEUs (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT)

  • Assistance with PCIT Certification​ preparation, including application materials

  • Potential option for an extension of weekly consultation videoconference calls

Note: Trainings can be offered in-person and virtually.

  • $350 per Oklahoma trainee, $500 per out-of-state trainee

  • Training fees do not cover the cost of the application fee to PCIT International, if not yet pursued

  • If virtual, must have appropriate microphone sound quality and be visible throughout

  • Pre-training consult with agency leadership may be suggested to problem-solve space, referrals, and/or technology barriers for PCIT implementation

  • A PCIT session review can be arranged prior to the training
